Newham is an exciting place to be right now. This is one of the most culturally diverse communities in the whole of the UK, and we're embarking on one of the most ambitious regeneration projects in Europe. No wonder people are calling us the new centre of London. As well as building 20,000 new homes in the next 5 years, we're generating jobs and investments via a new metropolitan centre, international railway station and mixed-use waterfront scheme.
The Physical Regeneration and Development Service covers activity from Forward Planning & Transportation, Regeneration and Major Projects, to Building Control & Development Control.
The Service has achieved a lot recently as you can see from the "what's going on in Newham section". However, there are challenges ahead and we are looking for talented individuals to join us in order to make a real difference to people living and working in the London Borough of Newham.
The Service has a commitment to developing employees and will offer opportunities to work across a range of disciplines which will enable the learning of new skills and the opportunity to expand breadth of experience.
